Pendant | Handwoven Palm

The tradition of working with palm in the Oaxacan Mixteca dates back to our origins. Since ancient times, this material has been used to preserve seeds, weave hats, and weave mats, natural mats on which people used to sleep. In their environment, complex techniques have been developed to work the palm, such as “the Mixtec knot”, which can be seen in these pompoms.
